freelance Technician / tech assistant for my show at this year's EdFringe

at David Ephgrave (Anywhere)

I’m looking for a competent technician who’s comfortable with AV to tech the stand-up show ‘David Ephgrave: My Part in His Downfall’ - plus assist with set-up and pack-down each day - at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe (the show runs at Just the Tonic @ The Caves at midday).

2-12, 14-19 and 21-26 August, plus 1 hour tech rehearsal on 1st August at 6pm.

My show is essentially stand-up, centring around a projector and screen and an on-stage and off-stage mic, with me running the majority of audio and visual cues from the stage by remote. Consequently, your main responsibilities would be assisting with the set-up / pack-down each day and operating the lights and sound levels mid-show (which will be minimal).

More than anything, I require a competent assistant, who's comfortable with AV (projector, screen, MacBook, DI etc.) and knows their way around a basic desk and lighting board...and can face the daunting task of watching my show 23 times in a row with only two days off to recover from the horror of it.

The show runs from 2nd to 26th (not the 13th or 20th) at midday at Just the Tonic at The Caves. There'd also be an hour's tech rehearsal on the 1st at 6pm.

You’d need to be at the venue from 11.30am to set up and would be done by approximately 1.15pm every day.

£12.50 a day, plus a Just the Tonic pass.

Wages will be paid weekly at the end of the week by BACS.
