full time Friendly, Enthusiastic Flyerers wanted for Edinburgh Fringe!

at Something for the Weekend (Anywhere)

Something for the Weekend presents theatre, and comedy, musicals, circus shows and everything in between at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, in London and around the UK and also overseas. Our portfolio of productions and promotions past and present includes the 2016 Olivier Award-winning Showstopper! The Improvised Musical, 2018 Olivier nominated The B*easts plus The Missing Hancocks, The Man on the Moor, The Song of Lunch, Cirque Berserk!, Cirkopolis and many, many more!

This year we are presenting around 13shows in Edinburgh – musicals, circus, comedy, drama, new writing, the lot! – and we are looking for dynamic, outgoing, friendly, enthusiastic, conscientious and reliable people who really love the arts to be a part of our flyering team.

The flyering team are a key element of all of our shows’ marketing campaigns and every year we look to put together a dynamic group of people who are keen to work hard and play hard, and to take on the challenge of driving audiences for all of our productions.

We’ll need you to be Edinburgh based, or able to arrange your own accommodation as this will not be provided. The Festival runs from 31st July – 26th August and we are looking for people who can join us in Edinburgh from 29th July and be available to work the full run.

Ideally you will have either been to or worked at the Edinburgh Fringe before and/or already have some form of sales or customer service experience; you will also be polite, charming, confident, outgoing, positive (even in the face of Edinburgh rain!) and very happy to talk to the general public! The job involves a lot of time being spent outdoors and on your feet.

For the right candidates this is a great chance to see behind the scenes of the Festival, to meet people, gain an insight into the arts industry which could help with future career plans, as well as experience the Festival. You will also receive venue passes which will give you the opportunity to see shows for free in your spare time.

If you would like to apply for this role, please email a CV, along with a covering letter explaining why you’d like to be considered to rhiannon@sftw.info

Please also send a short review (no more than 100 words) of a recent show you’ve seen, written as if you were recommending it to a friend.
Please note applicants must be aged 18 or over as of 29th July 2019.
We look forward to hearing from you.
