part time Company Stage Manager

at Seabright Productions Ltd (Anywhere)

We are looking for an Edinburgh based CSM with good sound mixing experience who holds a clean driving licence.

The Period of employment is from 8th July to 26th August, made up of:
- Previews around the UK on 8th - 10th, 15th - 16th, 18th - 19th July.
- For Edinburgh festival (29th July to 26th August) we would be looking to offer the right candidate:

Fee of £500 per week plus any holiday entitlement.
This is based on a 2 show day as CSM, and then for 3 days of the week also as a Company Venue Manager.

The CSM jobs are in the same Gilded Balloon venue, the CVM job is at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.

12pm - CSM for a show with live singing and keyboard (needs someone with live sound mixing experience)
3pm - CSM for a one woman show with radio mic and projection.

We require the Company Venue Manager to be responsible for:

- Acting as the link between the Stage Manager, FOH, Box Office and Security.
- Responsible for opening the house and assisting getting the audience in and the shows up on time.
- Working with the other show staff to maintain safe working practices and to notify the Producer where you have concerns about anything which prejudices safe working;
- Assisting the Stage Manager with turnarounds between shows, including such stage cleaning and assisting with audience seating as may be necessary;
- Supporting the Stage Manager in the striking of scenery, props, costume as required after each performance;
- In an emergency or if required due to planned absence, deputising for the Company Stage Manager in whatever way needed, including if necessary the calling of the productions using the prompt copy;

The schedule for Edinburgh:

Show 1 (ASM) at the Gilded Balloon 12.00 - 1.00pm (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays)
Show 2 (ASM) at the Gilded Balloon 3.00 - 4.00pm (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays)
Show 3 (CVM) at the EICC 5.30pm - 10pm on Mondays, and 5.30pm - 11.00pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
Wednesday is a rest day each week for all shows.
