Salary: £7.85/£8.21 per hour. In line with National Living Wage legislation post holders aged 25+ will receive the higher rate.
Hours: Full-Time
Annual Leave: Paid holiday will be given for hours worked at 15.55%. This will be paid out in January, April, July and September.
Contract: Fixed Term-29th July 2019 to 28th August 2019

The Role:
The post-holder will provide the necessary link between cash handling procedures performed by operational staff and the final recording of cash transactions in the organisation’s financial accounts maintained by the Finance Dept.

The Festival Cash Room Assistant will be responsible for performing counting checks on all monies, processing of takings from that or the previous days’ business across all relevant Students’ Association sites and accurately recording the information in such a way as to provide a clear audit trail from till to bank. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate floats and change floats for designated departments at all sites.

The Festival Cash Room Assistant will be required to work throughout the Festival period adopting a flexible approach to working patterns as some shifts begin early in the morning and some shifts finish late at night.

The Person:
A responsible, enthusiastic, confident and numerate individual with clear and relevant recent demonstrable experience of cash handling and dealing with money-counting standards and security.
A person who confidently demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of their work and has the ability to maintain and deliver a consistently high standard of work.
