full time Backstage Team Volunteers

at Dyad Productions (Anywhere)

Enthusiastic, and Edinburgh-based and want access to the Fringe?

We're a small, unfunded but internationally-renowned, 5-star theatre company coming to the Fringe for our tenth year in August 2019 - and we need you to join our brilliant backstage team.

If you enjoy theatre and are able to help us with our show turnarounds (getting set in and out of the venue), then we’d love to work with you!

Dates: 2nd – 26th August inclusive (please DON’T apply if ANY of these dates are no good) – with a technical session in which to familiarise yourself on 28th or 29th July, TBC (for about an hour).

Your duties will entail helping move set before/after the show at:

(an hour a day, in total)

This will be daily, with days off: 5th, 6th, 13th & 20th August (and a slightly longer session on 26th to load the set from the venue into the van).

We need someone who can work under supervision, quickly and efficiently in a confined space and lift reasonably heavy objects.

This is an UNPAID VOLUNTEER post, but in return we can give you: Company Pass (free entry into over 300 shows, on-site food/drink discounts, VIP bar access) and a free and lavish company meal.
We don't provide accommodation, so you need already to have an Edinburgh base. If you do not have daily access to the city or an Edinburgh base, please DO NOT apply.

We're Dyad Productions and our previous shows include: Jane Eyre: An Autobiography, Austen’s Women, The Time Machine, Orlando, The Unremarkable Death of Marilyn Monroe, Female Gothic, I, Elizabeth, and The Diaries of Adam and Eve. This year we’re presenting one of our most-acclaimed shows: Dalloway.

So, come and enjoy the Fringe!

Applications are open until 30th June 2019 with Skype or phone interviews shortly after application.

Please enclose Skype handle and Phone no. in application email.
