freelance Stage Manager / Operator for ROUNDABOUT @ Summerhall play

at Catherine Paskell, Director Dirty Protest Theatre (Anywhere)

Stage Manager/ Operator wanted for one-woman show in ROUNDABOUT @ Summerhall
31 July - 25 August
15:45

Dirty Protest Theatre present HOW TO BE BRAVE in Paines Plough's ROUNDABOUT @ Summerhall venue, at 15:45 daily, between 31 July - 25 August (no shows on 1, 6, 13, 20 Aug). The play is a one-woman cast, with no set and no props.

Stage Manager/Operator responsibilities:
- run the get in and get out including pre-show light and sound checks and liaising with front of house
- manage and operate lights and sound during the show in the 60-minute slot.
- complete and email show reports.

It is a simple show to operate. Our lighting designer and company stage manager will programme the show during the get-in and tech rehearsal on 26 July. If you are not able to join us on 26 July, but you can join us from first preview on 31 July, then the CSM can teach you the show during 31 July preview.

It's a really simple show to operate as everything in Roundabout is operated from one button and there are no complex cues. The whole slot, including get in and audience exit/get out, lasts a maximum of 1 hour 20 mins, so you will need to arrive at 15:30 and can leave by 16:50.

Dirty Protest have performed in Roundabout for the past few years and we love working with Paines Plough. It's a fantastic venue and a great way of getting to know their team.

Fee: £20 per-show. This will be paid directly into your bank account on a Friday. You will also receive a Summerhall venue pass.

Please get in touch if you are interested or have questions.
