full time Duty Manager

Edinburgh University Students' Association is looking to recruit a Duty Manager to join our Trading Operations team.

Salary: £366 per week gross (£19,045 per annum pro-rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term-15th July 2019 to 27th August 2019.

The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is the 3rd largest event in the world and every year thousands of performers take to the stage to perform and entertain in theatre, cabaret, comedy music and dance. Over the 27 days the Edinburgh University Student Association partners with two of the big four creative teams Pleasance Theatre Trust and Gilded Balloon, to showcase some of the best shows and performances the Fringe has to offer with 3 venues- Pleasance Courtyard, Pleasance Dome, Teviot Row House (Gilded Balloon).

The Role:
To support the management and smooth / safe operation of the Students’ Association’s venues including all F&B outlets. The Duty Manager will ensure effective supervision of outlets and will drive high standards of customer service and food / beverage quality at all times.

Ensure that venues are managed and maintained in a safe a responsible manner at all times
The post holder will support the Venue Operations Managers in delivering excellent commercial performance, working towards ambitious targets around turnover and profitability.

The Person:
An enthusiastic, positive and competent manager with experience of working in bars and/or catering outlets to a high standard with excellent levels of service. A person with high expectations of themselves and others.
