Female improviser needed for Edinburgh Festival Show
at Ed in London
Hi we are in the process of rehearsals for an Edinburgh improv show, however we have lost a couple of people due to them getting professional work over the period. So we are looking for 1 or 2 female improvisers.
About the show:
The show is Long form, based around super hero film style. We have a great 100 seater venue (Voodoo Ballroom) a great spot 8 o'clock. The show will have a profit share element to it, but this would probable only come to about £5 a night! Our run starts on the 16th of August until the 27th.
Accommodation:
We have good accommodation, a 5 bedroom flat just on the outskirts of town. The picture look nice, but I have not actually had a chance to see it in person. So the idea is everyone should get a bed, 2 people to a room. That by Ed fest standards is luxury. The accommodation is all paid for.
About the cast:
Presently the cast has a good mixture of experience performers. Presently 6 men and 2 women. All great people I can personally vouch for.
Rehearsals
Presently we are looking to do the rehearsals each Tuesday night 7-10 this might move depending on peoples availability. We will also probable do more in the last few weeks depending on how everyone feels. At the moment the rehearsals are based around Camden.
Who are we looking for?
We are really looking for a medium to experienced female improvisers/actress. Preferable able to play young so under 35. The show is Long form, so that multiple scenes strung together to make a complete story (not really games based like who line). It is a comedy but it's not going to be full of gags, the humor should come from the situation and the characters. So we are looking for someone who is more of an actress than a standup.
If you are interested, this is a really great way to get involved with the festival, and get a good amount of stage time. The show it self shouldn't take up more than 2-3 hours of your day so it would leave you loads of time to enjoy the festival.
